What do I wear during a therapy session?
You can wear the clothes you have on when you come in. For sessions in the kids’ room, we provide booties to cover your shoes, to protect the salt on the floor.
Is it cold in the therapy room?
We keep the temperature at a comfortable level for most people. Feel free to bring a jacket or your own blanket, if you are very cold-natured.
How long is a session?
Sessions are 45-minutes long. Private sessions can be as short as 20 minutes.
Are there side effects?
Just like being at the seaside, you may have a slight taste of salt on your lips. Some people report a very slight metal taste that goes away before the session is complete. If you have a lot of mucus, you can expect to have a cough and possibly a runny nose, as the salt works to break it up.
Is there a risk of catching infections from others?
Salt is naturally anti-bacterial. It is one of the most sterile minerals on earth. Our rooms are not only sterile, but they are regularly cleaned.
Is salt therapy good for children?
Yes. Salt therapy is excellent for children 3 months and older. Children tend to respond very quickly.
Are drinks or food allowed in the therapy room?
No food or drinks are allowed in the therapy rooms, as we want to keep the rooms as clean and sterile as possible. We do provide water in the reception area.
Can I bring my electronics into the therapy room?
No. There is a possibility the salt will cause corrosion to your devices. That includes phones, computers of any sort (including tablets), and any type of electronic game system. We invite you to spend your time in your therapy session relaxing and taking in the de-stressing effects of the salt.
How many sessions will I need?
While some people experience a remarkable improvement in health with one session, most people will begin to notice a difference after 4 or 5 sessions. A lot of this depends on the severity of your symptoms. In order to continue feeling the positive effects of dry salt therapy, it is best to be on a maintenance schedule. Your schedule will depend on your symptoms. Without a regular maintenance program, symptoms may eventually return.
Do you take walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome. However, we recommend scheduling your session in advance to be assured you get the time you want.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Otherwise, you are charged for your sessions.
